Emma Bunton signs to Heart

Global Radio has signed Emma Bunton to present her own Saturday afternoon show on the Heart network, starting on Saturday 13 June as well hosting Friday drivetime on London’s Heart 106.2.

The former Spice Girl is currently co-hosting Heart Breakfast with Harriet Scott while regular co-presenter Jamie Theakston is on holiday, last February she teamed up with Jamie to co-host Heart Breakfast while Harriet was on her honeymoon.

Bunton said: “I love doing the Breakfast show so much that when I was asked to present my own shows, it was really exciting and felt completely natural. I’ll be kick-starting the weekend with Feel Good Friday and then back on Saturday – I can’t wait to be part of the Heart team!”.

Global Radio’s Director of Broadcasting Richard Park added: “I am delighted to welcome Emma to spice up the Heart family from mid-June. Emma reflects what Heart is all about – she’s great fun, she’s down-to-earth and she’s a hard-working mum who lives life to the full”.

Bunton will be on air every Saturday afternoon from 4pm to 7pm on the Heart network and on Friday drivetime from 4pm to 7pm in London from 12 June.
